Resting after Spaying

Here is Averey home and resting from her long day yesterday. She was spayed, micro chipped, and she had teeth extracted.

They said she did very well. She had a super lot of energy when we first got home, but now that I am sitting still and doing some time on the computer she took up her position, kind of on my lap. She loves to lay right here while I am doing work.

She needs to rest for about 5 days. I hope she does well. I am very happy with how she looks and her energy. I did not stop for a visit yesterday, because I just get upset when I see animals uncomfortable. I made that mistake with Emma. I love her and wanted to visit, but I knew it was only harder on her and on me. Her vet Dr. Humphries was wonderful and called me yesterday and said she did fine. She had laser surgery for the spaying and the incision spot looks like a boo boo, but not a huge boo boo ouchy. I think we will all survive. She did not even try to fuss with the wound. I don't even see when they put the microchip in, but I think that is super small. So, I am not going to worry. Maybe next vet visit I will ask where they place that.

I had a lot of paperwork to put together to register the microchip with AVID and to register for Pennsylvania Life Time Licenscing, so that will be one more thing I will not have to worry about from year to year, so that is very exciting I think. This is all very new. My family renews licenses on their animals every year. My cousin Linda showed me her blood hounds tattoos for their licencing, then is when I looked into lifetime licensing, but my vet does the microchipping which is just as well.

I will post again as she is recuperating. Oh yeah, here is an image of the teeth that were extracted.

Sorry if this grosses you out, but this is what is going on in Averey's life. I will try to get a photo of her boo boo too to share.

Oh and Emma was able to smell something is up with Averey and looks concerned. And Averey was very interested in where her kitty sister was, so I took her in to see where Emma was sleeping on the bed. I think Emma will be a ver good big sister. She was talking a bit, but keeping her paws to herself and being nice and gentle with Averey.
